“Clean up and Spruce up” days for the RP campus. Volunteers help plan workdays. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the cleanup days. Facilitate with PE teachers a program where the children spend a few minutes monthly cleaning fields, etc.

Using IB attitudes inspire children to take action and make a difference in the world with community service opportunities.
A collection of programs presenting opportunities designed to surpass in reach, breadth and depth, current Roland Park student offerings. Students will be able to connect with the local, national and global communities to further enhance the IB experience and augment the overall learning environment.
Students will be able to capitalize on interests and opportunities within the school and local communities as well as beyond, to envision, design and implement volunteer and service events and programs.
The business branch of the Outreach program would work to establish a heightened awareness of Roland Park K-8 Magnet School for International Studies as well as forging stronger bonds and partnerships within the area business community.

The Winter Clubs Session will run for 10 weeks beginning right after Thanksgiving Break, the week of December 1, 2014 ending the week February 20, 2015.

Please register online with payment by Friday November 21, 2014.

Clubs are released at 3:45, (2:45 on Mondays due to early release). Students in HOST will be escorted to the MPR, all others are to be picked up in the car rider’s drive. Please pick your child up on time, repeated late pickups could result in forced withdrawal from the club without refund.

Volunteers are needed to help mobilize community donations for the silent auction at our annual Be The Change Gala! Volunteers will also assist in planning, coordinating, decorating, and running the event. There will be various planning meetings throughout the year, so all committee members can give input and be kept abreast of planning progress.

The Florida State PTA, in partnership with the National PTA, sponsors a state wide arts education contest in the fall known as the Reflections Program. Each year there is a different theme for the program, and this information is available on the Florida State PTA website (click the link below). The student art entries will be judged at the school , council (Hillsborough School District) and Florida State PTA levels. The State PTA winners are entered into the National PTA contest. Homeroom Parent -The main purpose of a homeroom parent is to support the teacher with any special requests they may have and act as a liaison between the teacher and other class parents. Other duties, based on your teachers needs may include organizing class parties, distributing monthly emails about upcoming events, assist in Teacher Appreciation week activities, emailing classroom parents about volunteer opportunities and assist in creating a class Gala auction piece.
