Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers play a critical role in the function of Roland Park K-8 Magnet School.
Listed below are current volunteer opportunities.

As always, please be sure to complete your Hillsborough County Public School Volunteer Application every school year.

Cafeteria Duty

NEW THIS YEAR!
Cafeteria duty for PYP is a great way to be involved at Roland Park and a wonderful opportunity to see your children at lunch. We are currently looking for additional volunteers to help fill cafeteria duties throughout the upcoming months. If you think you can spare 1 hour of your day, please consider this volunteer opportunity. If you aren’t able to make a recurring commitment, you can sign up for just ONE lunch duty at a time!

What do cafeteria volunteers do? Here are just a few simple duties performed by our volunteers to help our kids at lunch, which takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

  • Help younger students open packages, juice boxes, water bottles, etc.
  • Circle cafeteria — monitor students eating inside and outside of the cafeteria.
  • Alert cafeteria staff of any concerns beyond your volunteer scope.
  • Offer smiles and high fives to our wonderful RP students!

What you need to know:

  1. While seeing your child at lunch is certainly a perk, help in the cafeteria is currently needed for all students. Please ensure you are doing your agreed upon volunteer tasks as stated above.
  2. Please complete your Y.E.S Volunteer Application this year if not already done. The application can be done here.
  3. At this time, it is requested that volunteers wear masks when inside buildings.

Media Center

Volunteering in the media center is a truly wonderful way to connect with the community at Roland Park.

Extra support is always needed as our media specialist, Ms. Martinez, wears many hats.

Providing support during kindergarten lessons is especially helpful!
